-  What is Yaeyama Chlorella?
Yaeyama Chlorella is micro-algae grown in a natural freshwater pool on the coral reef island of Ishigake, Japan. It is a popular superfood used in Japan for decades. In the West, we’ve only just begun to learn of its life-enhancing benefits.

-  What are the benefits of Yaeyama Chlorella?
Chlorella is a natural source of wide-ranging, potent nutrition. It contains vitamins, minerals and protein essential for growth and energy, and it also supports the immune system. It is 60 percent protein, very rare for plants, and it is one of the only complete plant-based proteins. Vegetarians must usually combine different plants to obtain complete proteins but chlorella is comprised of all nine essential amino acids. But chlorella is not only taken for nutrition. Preclinical studies suggest that chlorella binds to toxins, not to nutrients, enabling it to support the body’s ability to cleanse and detoxify metals such as lead. It is believed that the fibrous chlorella shell absorbs surrounding compounds, so it can absorb and help flush away toxins in the body. Micro-algae are grown all over the world but none have the nutritive value of Chlorella pyrenoidosa, the type grown on the island of Ishigake and used in Yaeyama Chlorella.

-  What makes Yaeyama Chlorella so special?
Yaeyama Chlorella is grown in a unique environment with fresh water and natural sunlight and not grown inside a tank with artificial light.

-  What validates the potency claims for Yaeyama Chlorella?
Studies by Japan Food Research Laboratories show that outdoor-cultivated chlorella contains more protein, chlorophyll, carotenoids and chlorella growth factor than tank-grown chlorella.

-  Who will benefit the most from Yaeyama Chlorella?
Vegetarians can benefit greatly from Yaeyama Chlorella for its nutritive value. Everyone can benefit from its cleansing properties.
